Jonathan's Gifts | Family Connect

Jonathan's Gifts is a program that was born out of a heartbreaking loss of a child. The Ingram family began this project in 2021 out of their home and successfully provided gifts to 125 children across 35 families. In 2022, after Family Connect and the Ingram family partnered together and began preparations to reach a goal of 250 children, Hurricane Ian unexpectedly hit SWFL and devastated thousands. Though we weren't sure what would be possible, we worked tirelessly to continue with our plans and managed to provide gifts for 364 children. In 2023 we had a goal of 500 children finding gifts under the tree Christmas morning and with the help of many generous donors we were able to provide a Christmas miracle to nearly 530 kids! As we continued refining our program and gauging how best to serve SWFL families, we again provided gifts to 300+ children in 2024- but also clothes, shoes and other basic needs.

This 2025 Christmas season we are determined to not only bring joy to children opening their gifts but also to show up for the family as a whole by walking alongside them and addressing practical needs. If you are a family in need of assistance this season, please apply below.

Jonathan's Gifts 2025 Application

If you have already applied for assistance through another program, please do not apply here. We check our applicants against lists of other organizations throughout the holiday season. If you are found to be in another program you will be immediately and permanently removed from Jonathan's Gifts. We will not check unless your application has been approved. You may submit proof that you have taken yourself out of another program pending our approval.

Jonathan’s Gifts is a Christmas program started by the Ingram family after the loss of their son, Jonathan. In honor of him, Family Connect has dedicated this program to bringing joy, hope, and connection to local families during the holiday season.

Each year, we work with generous donors to provide personalized gifts for struggling families in SWFL. This year, our program is focusing on supporting a smaller number of families in a deeper, more meaningful way—ensuring each child’s wish list is thoughtfully fulfilled and each family feels valued and cared for. If your family is facing financial hardship or other challenges this year, we invite you to apply and share your story with us. While we wish we could serve everyone, space in our program is limited, and families will be selected based on need and availability.
